Welcome and congratulations on making it here, some people never will:)

The mission of this blog is to connect people with their own essential goodness, in other words, “Getting to Good“.  Getting to the place of knowing and believing fully in our own inherent value, worth, and beauty.  It is not about judgment of right or wrong, good or bad, and it is definitely not about what we think we “should or shouldn’t” be doing.  Rather, it is about how we relate to ourselves and it is from this safe and stable foundation of self-acceptance that we find our way forward into a life of rich wholeness.

“Everything you need you already have. You are complete right now, you are a whole, total person, not an apprentice person on the way to someplace else. Your completeness must be understood by you and experienced in your thoughts as your own personal reality.” — Wayne Dyer

I believe we heal to thrive in life.  We have an innate magnetic pull toward connecting with our wholeness.  We are already good, whole, and complete.  We were born pure and sweet, fully radiant, and ready to go.  This doesn’t go away.  This continues in each and every one of us.  It simply gets covered up.  Our candle light doesn’t burn out, it just gets put in a tight room to protect it from the harsh winds.

I believe the key to breaking free is found in how we relate to ourselves; how we show up for ourselves, care for ourselves, trust ourselves, talk to ourselves.  We become available to ourselves in a responsive accepting way and this makes quality relationships with others possible. The relationship with ourselves is the most important thing because it forms the bedrock for relationships with others, and satisfying relationships are crucial to our wellbeing.  BOGO.  Love for me, love for you.

Finally, our lives are a never ending complex set of stories and we are the authors.  We have the right to edit, scratch out lines, and re-write how it’s going to be.

So this blog brings us together and removes the illusion of being alone in either our strength or our brokenness.   We all face the same sharp thorns and we can learn and grow from each other.  Sharing opens up possibilities and expands our heads and hearts.

I look forward to connecting with you!
